Eurowings FAQs
How much does it cost to take my pet on board a flight?
The cost for taking a pet weighing up to eight kilos starts at €60.
You can add your pet in the second booking step “seat reservation” under the section “special baggage”. Or you can call Eurowings call centre to add your pet. If you have already booked a flight, you can simply add your pet to your existing flight.
What options do I have if I can't make my Eurowings flight?
If you can’t take your flight, you have three choices:
- change the date,
- transfer it to someone else
- cancel (if eligible).
Flight changes must be made before web check-in closes and are easiest online.
Flex Light allows one free change; Flex Premium offers free changes or cancellations for SMART/BIZclass fares. Standard changes cost €60/£51 plus fees. Name changes can be done by phone before check-in ends. Flex Premium also allows free same-day cancellations via website, app, call center, or airport. For tickets booked via agents or partner airlines, contact them directly. Policies apply only to flights with an EW number.
What is the baggage allowance on Eurowings?
Baggage allowance varies by fare. Basic fares include one small cabin bag, while SMART and BIZclass fares include additional carry-on and checked baggage. Extra baggage can be added for a fee.
Can I change the date of my Eurowings flight?
Yes, you can change your travel date up to the time web check-in closes. Changes must be for the same person, route, and within Eurowings’ published flight schedule. Fees depend on your fare type—Flex Light allows one free change, while Standard changes cost €60/£51 plus possible service fees.
What do I do in case of a major delay, flight cancellation, or denied boarding?
Sometimes, due to exceptional circumstances, we may not be able to operate your flight as planned. In cases of long delays, cancellations, or denied boarding, our team will assist you in reaching your destination as quickly as possible. If your flight is operated by a partner airline (codeshare), your claim must be made with them. For delays, cancellations, or denied boarding, you may be entitled to meals, accommodation, alternate transport, a refund, or compensation (€250–€600 per person), unless informed two weeks in advance or if unavoidable exceptional circumstances apply. We’re here to support you every step of the way.
