If you follow Alexandra Leclerc, you already know she has a way of making even the simplest beauty look feel incredibly chic. So when I saw that she was teaming up with rhode, I was immediately interested. I have been following Alexandra’s style for a while, and this collaboration feels like a very natural fit for her.

After weeks of speculation, Alexandra Leclerc has officially teamed up with Hailey Bieber’s beauty brand rhode, with the new rhode <3 Alexandra Leclerc collection launching on September 15. Announced on September 8, the collaboration includes Pocket Pearl, a new shimmery version of rhode’s viral Pocket Blush, along with a new Peptide Lip Tint shade and two accessories.

So, if you have had your eye on the collection, September 15 is the date to remember.

What I particularly like about the idea of Pocket Pearl is the size. It is small enough to throw into your handbag and, thanks to the new accessories, you can actually clip it onto your bag and take it with you.

What Is In The Alexandra Leclerc x Rhode Collection?

The Alexandra collection is small, but there are a few things worth talking about.

Pocket Pearl Blush

The new Pocket Pearl comes in Gemini, Monaco and Monet, with each shade giving the cheeks a shimmery finish.

The original Pocket Blush has become one of rhode’s most recognisable products, so giving it a smaller format and a more reflective finish seems like a smart move.

If you like a little glow on your cheeks rather than a completely matte blush, this could be the one to try.

Sweet Apple Peptide Lip Tint

There is also a new Sweet Apple Peptide Lip Tint.

It has a golden brown tint with a shimmery finish and a candy apple scent. If you are already searching for rhode lip gloss or have been collecting the brand’s Peptide Lip Tints, this is probably going to get a lot of attention.

And I have to say, Sweet Apple is a very Alexandra sounding shade.

Flutter Charm And Rhode Carabiner

The collection also includes a Flutter Charm and the rhode Carabiner, both designed to carry your Pocket Pearl.

I can already see these becoming one of those little accessories that people clip onto their handbags whether they actually need to or not.

Alexandra Leclerc’s Influence Goes Beyond The F1 Paddock

Of course, a lot of people first came across Alexandra through her appearances at Formula 1 races with Charles Leclerc.

She is married to the Ferrari driver and has become a familiar face around F1 weekends, but her own career goes well beyond that. Alexandra has worked as a model and fashion influencer and has a background in art history and philanthropy.

Her style is also a big reason she has built such a following.

I personally love how she dresses for F1 weekends. There is usually a polished, feminine element without it looking overly styled, and her beauty looks tend to follow the same formula.

That is probably why this rhode collaboration makes so much sense to me.

And Yes, The Rhode Phone Case Connection Is Still Going Strong

Rhode has already made beauty accessories a huge part of its identity.

The brand’s famous rhode phone case turned carrying your lip product into part of the look. Pocket Pearl is taking that same idea and applying it to blush.

Instead of keeping it hidden inside your makeup bag, you can clip the Pocket Pearl onto the Flutter Charm or Carabiner and carry it around like an accessory.

It is practical, but it is also exactly the sort of detail that makes a beauty launch feel fun.

My Take

I am probably more excited about this collaboration than I would normally be about a new blush, mainly because Alexandra is involved.

I have always liked Alexandra’s style and I think she is one of those people who manages to make simple beauty look really good. The collection reflects that. Nothing feels particularly complicated or intimidating.

The Pocket Pearl shades are wearable, the mini packaging is cute and Sweet Apple sounds like an easy everyday lip colour.

If you are a rhode fan, this is obviously one to watch. But if, like me, you have been following Alexandra Leclerc’s fashion and beauty looks for a while, this feels like a collaboration that was bound to happen eventually.

And now I just need to decide between Gemini, Monaco and Monet.

This version is intentionally less “perfect”, less corporate and more like an actual ReviewBinge writer has an opinion about the launch.
